Course Detail: ADAV - Advanced Avionics
The Advanced Avionics Course is a follow-on to Principles of Avionics but would also benefit those who have not taken the "Principles" course. Some introductory material is extracted from Principles of Avionics to aid students who have not taken the "Principles" course. For those who have taken the "Principles" course or have avionics experience, this material will serve as a review.
The course covers some legacy systems, in particular those that civil aviation authorities intend to keep in operation as a backup for satellite navigation. Satellite navigation will be covered in detail at a greater depth than in the "Principles" course. More numeric examples including in-class exercises will be presented throughout the course.

Continuing Education Units (CEUs)
Embry-Riddle will award 3.5 CEUs to each attendee who successfully completes the course.
A cancellation charge of $100 will be assessed on any standard cancellations. A late cancellation charge of 25% of the course registration fee will be assessed on cancellations occurring within 14 days of the start of the course.
