Overview
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's (ERAU) Risk Management and Hazard Identification paints a risk-management approach in aviation as an important tool, allowing decision makers to enhance organizational and operational safety. In this course, students learn risk management principles to continually identify, assess, control, and eliminate risks. Students will learn how to handle personnel involved in the hazard ID and risk control process, as well as identify safety problems that come with the management of aviation resources, and develop programs to prevent costly accidents.
This course awards 1 Continuing Education Unit (CEU) upon completion.
This course may be taken independently or count toward satisfaction of Embry-Riddle's Aviation Risk Management professional education certificate program requirements.

Course Information
This is an online asynchronous instructor facilitated course with weekly modules and assignments, but no scheduled meeting times. Students should plan to spend approximately 10-15 hours per week working through the course. Coursework is web-based with no additional software required, although a reliable internet connection is recommended. All courses open 48 business hours in advance of each start date, and must be completed by their scheduled end dates. Digital certificates are available upon successful completion of individual courses. Printed certificates are mailed only upon completion of a full certificate program.
