Course Detail: CYANOTYPE - Cyanotype Class

Artwork by Anna Atkins, Aspidium Goldianum, 1850
Course Description
In this 2 hour class, participants will create their own cyanotypes, while also learning a brief history of the cyanotype process including how it originated and some of the first artists to use the process. Using flora of the participant's choosing, light sensitive material, and the sun, each student will create a work of art in a process that dates back to the 1840's! After exposing images to the sun, students will develop their prints and leave them at the studio to dry. Prints will be available for pickup at a later date.
