Course Detail: BINTA - Beginner to Intermediate: Sewing Easy Fit Skirts

Students should be comfortable operating a sewing machine, threading the machine, winding and inserting a bobbin, sewing straight and curved seams, backstitching, pressing seams, and complete basic sewing projects.

Students will learn common alterations including hemming pants and skirts, tapering pant legs, taking in side seams, replacing elastic, and making basic clothing repairs. Students are encouraged to bring garments from home to alter during class. Classroom sewing machines are provided; however, students are welcome to bring their own sewing machine if they prefer to learn and practice on the machine they use at home.
