Youth programs at Columbus State University—summer camps, dance training, and athletics for learners from Pre-K through 12th grade, on campus in Columbus, Georgia. For many families, a camp here is a child’s first experience of a university campus—and the moment it starts to feel like a place they belong.
Activ8 Summer Camps
Our flagship summer program returns in May 2027—weekly themed camps for
Pre-K through 8th grade, from LEGO engineering and science to swim, sports, and performing arts,
with before- and after-care available. Registration opens in early spring.

CSU Dance Preparatory Academy
Year-round classical ballet training from Creative Movement through Advanced levels, taught on
CSU’s RiverPark campus at the Rankin. See current Dance
Prep Academy classes.
Athletics camps and clinics
CSU Cougar athletics camps run seasonally through the year—baseball, basketball,
cheerleading, golf, softball, and stunt, led by university coaching staff. Current offerings are
listed below when registration is open; the next scheduled clinic is always the best place to
start.
Partnerships that build programs
Some of our best youth programming starts as a partnership—bringing together Columbus
State and a partner’s youth development goals. The JROTC STEM Leadership Academy, summer
learning with the Muscogee County School District, and CHIPS Camp all began that way. If your
school or organization has a goal for young learners, contact us to learn how we can partner to build
meaningful learning opportunities for ages 4–18.
