Course Detail: GWAW - Grant Writing and Acquisition Workshop: Adjusting to Competitive Funding
As public funding becomes increasingly competitive, organizations need a thoughtful, sustainable approach to identifying opportunities and developing strong grant proposals.
This one-day, in-person workshop at Columbus State University provides practical instruction in grant writing and acquisition for professionals who want to strengthen their ability to compete for funding. Led by a CSU faculty member with professional experience in the field, the workshop combines clear instruction, real-world examples, and hands-on guidance.
Participants will learn how to search state, federal, and private funding databases; evaluate grant opportunities; interpret requests for proposals; develop effective program plans; strengthen proposal language and structure; and build cross-sector partnerships that support a competitive application.
Designed for both newer and more experienced grant seekers, the workshop also provides an opportunity to ask questions, work through common challenges, and connect with other professionals pursuing funding in the region.
Ideal for: nonprofit organizations, health-related organizations, community agencies, small organizations, and professionals responsible for identifying or pursuing grant funding.
