2026: NEC Code Change

This 8-hour, in-person course offers a comprehensive review of the 2026 National Electrical Code (NEC) updates. Designed for Journeymen and Master Journeymen electricians, the course provides detailed instruction on the most recent code changes and their impact on electrical installations. An experienced instructor will highlight key revisions, discuss significant differences from previous editions, and explain what these changes mean for current industry practices. Upon completion, participants will be better prepared to apply the updated NEC requirements in the electrical field with confidence and compliance.

Apprenticeship Transcript Review - Electrical

This open-ended course provides an opportunity for students to have their previous education records and experience from previous trade schools reviewed by CEI - Workforce Training administrators and Instructors to place them into the CEI Apprenticeship Program. If a student's prior educational records are deemed valid and sufficient, a formal determination regarding appropriate year placement will be made and communicated to the student. Based on the results of this evaluation, a student may be placed into Year 1, 2, 3, or 4 of CEI's Electrical Apprenticeship program, or awarded credit recognizing completion of all four years.

In the College of Eastern Idaho's Workforce Training Electrical Apprenticeship Program, apprenticeship students will learn the Fundamentals of Electrical Theory, the National Electrical Code, and other practical training that may be seen on the jobsite. This Year 1 class will cover the first 144 hours of the education requirements and is taught by a network of highly experienced Journeyman and Master Journeyman.
