Course Detail: W-AP-EL-TEP - Apprenticeship Transcript Review - Electrical


 This open-ended course provides an opportunity for students to have their previous education records and experience from previous trade schools reviewed by CEI - Workforce Training administrators and Instructors to place them into the CEI Apprenticeship Program. If a student's prior educational records are deemed valid and sufficient, a formal determination regarding appropriate year placement will be made and communicated to the student. Based on the results of this evaluation, a student may be placed into Year 1, 2, 3, or 4 of CEI's Electrical Apprenticeship program, or awarded credit recognizing completion of all four years. 

Learning Outcomes - 

  • At the end of this course, participants will be equipped with: 

  • Educational hours recognized by the State of Idaho 

  • Placement into the CEI - Workforce Training's Apprenticeship Program 

Certification  

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be eligible to sit for CEI - Workforce Training's Apprenticeship Program and receive accredited education hours in the State of Idaho. If the student successfully gets accredited for all 4 years or 576 hours of education, they will be able to schedule their Journeyman's Exam in Idaho through Idaho's Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing.  

Target Audience 

  • Out-of-State Apprentices who move to Idaho and would like to continue their career. 

  • Out-of-State Journeyman who would like to be dual licensed in their state and Idaho.

Requirements  

  • Students will need to be prepared to provide the following documents 

  • Transcripts (can be unofficial) but must have official letterhead 

  • Program Standard from the State the student is coming from. 

  • Syllabi/Outlines from all relevant courses  

  • Curriculum of outgoing program
