Our SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP Test Prep courses are designed to help individuals prepare for this important milestone in their careers. For more information on these credentials visit the SHRM website. The courses utilize the most current official Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) Learning System materials and are taught by experienced HR professionals who have earned the SHRM-SCP designation.

For live-online sessions, you will be expected to participate in every class session, when scheduled.

The courses are offered in two formats:

• A 12-week course which meets online for 3 hours each week. Participants review segments of the material each week.

•  An intensive, 7-week course which meets for 7 consecutive weeks. Students review the SHRM material before the class begins.

When you complete either course, you will be well-prepared for the SHRM-CP and SCP exams. We encourage you to schedule your test while the knowledge is fresh in your mind. 

The SHRM Maine State Council offers certification scholarships through the SHRM Foundation, visit their website for more information as well as test prep application deadlines.

The University of Southern Maine is recognized by Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) to offer Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for the SHRM-CPSM or SHRM-SCPSM Test Prep course.

The registration fee includes all materials which will be shipped directly to you, please enroll early. Materials for online course will be mailed 7 - 10 days before class or earlier if requested with understanding that a withdrawal from class refund will not include the cost of the SHRM Learning System once it has been delivered.
