A need for better understanding of East-West cultural differences has surfaced along with the increasing pace of globalization. Explore the traditional and modern values of the Chinese people in three significant phases of life: the college entrance exam, marriage customs and aging. The goal: to increase mutual understanding by comparing the lives of ordinary Chinese and Americans in these and other challenging areas.
