The session will discuss the biology, ecology, and traditional and new research techniques used to learn about whales of the North Atlantic. Additionally, the biology and ecology of blue whales, the largest animal to inhabit our planet, will be presented with the research of the Mingan Island Cetacean Study, the world's longest research program on this species.
