The ''Night Witches'' were the female Soviet Pilots who flew with the 588th Night Bomber Regiment. A famous female Soviet pilot urged Soviet leader Joseph Stalin to create an all-female air group. The Night Witches are remembered as a symbol of Soviet women's courage and resilience during WWII. This presentation will focus on the heroics of these female pilots in both the air and on the ground, facing indeterminable discrimination.
