SHANNON ROWE is a park ranger who has worked at 5 different parks for over 10 years.She is passionate about helping visitors forge intellectual, emotional, andrelevant connections with our natural and cultural resources. She is a former 8th-grade and high school U.S.History teacher and a Civil War historian.

(HIS226) WRITTEN IN THE BRICKS: THE STORY OF FORT PULASKI

This class uses a random draw waitlist selection for participation, with chosen participants being notified on January 27, 2026.

Attendees will tour Fort Pulaski National Monument with a park ranger to explore its history, including the impact of rifled cannons, slavery, and soldier graffiti, followed by optional independent exploration and art activity.
