Biography: THE DAUFUSKIE ISLAND HISTORICAL FOUNDATION (DIHF) was founded in 2000 to preserve the historical and cultural heritage of Daufuskie Island. To further public knowledge and appreciation of the island, the foundation established an island history museum, acquired and restored four historic buildings, created a self-guided tour of historic sites, led tours to island historic sites and has begun an island history archive. The Daufuskie Island Historical Foundation is a 501(c)3 charitable organization.
