He has worked for over 40 years in aerospace, high tech, and academia, and is a Certified Consulting Meteorologist. He is a member of the American Meteorological Society (Emeritus Member and Fellow), Texas Academy of Science (Board of Directors), and the American Association for the Advancement of Science.

This course explores ocean weather and waves, covering topics such as wind, clouds, fog, sea ice, severe storms, rogue waves, icebergs, tsunamis, and weather forecasting at sea.
