Biography: ELIZABETH LANEY, M.A., is a historian and genealogist with over 20 years of experience working in state parks, historic sites, and museums. She specializes in the history of the Reconstruction Era and the South Carolina Lowcountry. She has worked as a research associate with the Institute for the Study of the Reconstruction Era since 2022.
