Course Title: (HIS306) ALCOHOL PROHIBITION-A NARRATIVE PERSPECTIVE OF ITS HISTORY IN THE UNITED STATES

Enjoy a narration of the history of Prohibition and the ban on alcohol in the U.S. from 1920 to 1933. Take a deep dive into the conditions and social movements that led to the 18th Amendment to be put into effect, the impact on the national economy as well as local economies and individual people, and the steps that led to its eventual repeal. 

NOTE: The program will include a docent in period attire and the display of a variety of items from the museum. Join us on July 22 for the OLLI Bus Tour at the museum.
