Course Title: (HEA208) ADVANCES IN PRECISION MEDICINE TO IMPROVE TREATMENT OUTCOMES

Managing medication treatment is essential for people with polypharmacy (5+ medications) and comorbidities (2+ medical conditions), such as cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, diabetes, kidney, depression, and other conditions. Patients taking 5-9 medications have a 50% probability of adverse drug-drug reactions, increasing to 100% for 20 or more medications. Poor drug adherence, falls, dementia, drug-induced delirium, and impaired cognition can result from multiple medications.
