Course Title: (CINT10726) LIZZIE BORDEN TOOK AN AXE...OR DID SHE?
On a sweltering August morning in 1892, a wealthy businessman and his second wife were brutally murdered in their home. Andrew and Abby Borden were killed while only the maid and the oldest daughter, Lizzie, were inside the house. With no witnesses, no direct evidence, and no confession, the police of Fall River, Massachusetts, were at a loss to determine who committed the crime-or why.
Over two days, the double parricide of Andrew and Abby Borden, along with the case against Lizzie, will be revisited and retried. The inquest, trial transcripts, and witness statements will be reviewed. Then you will make your case: Lizzie Borden took an axe? or did she?
