Course Title: (LEG101) THE RULE OF LAW AND CIVIC ENGAGEMENT

This course will examine the history and importance of the rule of law in the United States and how the rule of law impacts our daily lives. The course will also examine the importance of civic engagement and how to participate at the local, state, and national levels.

NOTE: Students will be emailed excerpts to read ahead of these discussion-based classes.

Biography:

STEPHEN MEYER is a Bluffton attorney who earned his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the University of South Carolina. While engaged in the full-time private practice of law, Steve devotes his scholarly interests to the analysis of U.S. Supreme Court decisions and the impact of these decisions on the daily life of the American public.
