Course Title: (MUS202) HISTORY OF THE BLUES

The blues originated in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, emerging from the African American experience in the southern United States, carrying with it the weight of history, emotion, and cultural expression. From its beginnings with Robert Johnson, John Lee Hooker, B.B. King, and Etta James to its adoption by the Rolling Stones and Eric Clapton, the blues continues to influence modern music.
