Course Title: (SPO300) TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALLGAME

Join OLLI for a night of Charleston RiverDogs baseball as this Single-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays takes on Augusta GreenJackets (Single-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves)at Joe Riley Ballpark in Charleston. En route to the game, Dr. Raul Galvan will share information about the players and interesting baseball history. The fee includes transportation aboard a luxury coach bus and a game ticket in reserved seating. In celebration of America's 250th year, hot dogs are just $0.50.

3:45 p.m. - Depart USCB Bluffton Campus4:20 p.m. - Pick up at USCB Beaufort Campus4:30 p.m. - Depart for Charleston Stadium7:00 p.m. - Ball Game11:15 p.m. - Estimated return to Beaufort/Bluffton. The bus will leave promptly at 3:45 p.m. from the USCB Bluffton campus student lot near the Hargray Building. Please wear layers, as the bus may be cold. Food and beverages are allowed on board, and the bus is equipped with a restroom and WiFi.

Raul Galvan

Biography: Dr. RAUL GALVAN taught Latin American History at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee for years, while working at Milwaukee PBS as a Production Executive, until he retired and moved to beautiful Beaufort. He was born in Cuba and has led numerous travel groups to the Island.
