Course Title: (HIS208) HISTORY AND TOUR OF DATAW RUINS

Please do not show up unless you've been confirmed and paid - stand by admittance is no longer allowed.Delve into Dataw Island's rich history, from the American Indian era through the days of Spanish exploration. Learn about the legend of King Dataw and the proprietary period leading to the antebellum plantation era of indigo and Sea Island cotton. Explore the preserved land that the National Register of Historic Places calls ''the most complete example of a 19th-century Sea Island cotton plantation in the country.''
NOTE: The instructor recommends grabbing lunch at the Morgan River Grill at the Dataw Marina after the tour!
