Course Title: (HIS12626/HIS12726/HIS12826) THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION OF 1800
David Miller brings his unique perspective as Thomas Jefferson's fourth great-grandson to his discussion of our most intellectual founding father. He does a deep dive into the controversial election of 1800, described by Jefferson himself as the "Revolution of 1800." The first election to be resolved in the House of Representatives, it challenged the principle of a peaceful transition of power.
