Course Title: (HIS112) FINDING PURPOSE BEHIND BARS IN SOUTH CAROLINA

Discover the story of Frankie San, a Japanese WWII survivor and immigrant minister who embraced forgotten men trapped in despair in South Carolina's most dangerous prison. Hear from Rev. Jimmy MacPhee, a formerly incarcerated death row inmate who was ministered to by Frankie San. After hearing remarkable stories about volunteering in prison, we will watch the award-winning documentary ''Prisoner By Choice - The Frankie San Story.''
