Course Title: (ECO205) EXPLORING JEKYLL ISLAND

Join us for a full-day exploration of this incredible island, rich in natural beauty and history. We'll begin with a beach discovery walk, followed by a docent-led trolley tour through historic grounds and a visit to the sea turtle hospital. Bring your own lunch for a picnic or dine at one of the on-site restaurants or markets. Walking includes sand, paved paths, and uneven terrain. Tour fee includes: Luxury coach transportation with Wi-Fi and facilities, guided tours by master naturalists, and docents at both the Sea Turtle Center and on the trolley.

Wear comfortable clothes, including layers, and sturdy, closed-toe footwear. Participants will be walking along paths, the beach, and paved trails. Bring your own lunch and snacks or choose to dine at one of several restaurants and markets. Please arrive on the USCB Bluffton Campus by 7:15 a.m. The bus will meet in the student parking lot. Schedule: 7:30 a.m. - Departure USCB Bluffton Campus; 9:30 a.m.- Arrival at Jekyll Island / St. Andrews Beach Park; 10-10:45 a.m.- Nature beach walk; 11:00 -12:00 p.m. - Sea Turtle Center; 12-1:15 p.m. - Lunch on your own in historic district; 1:30-2:30 p.m. - Trolley Tour; 2:30-3:30 p.m. - Mosaic Museum and Faith Chapel; 3:45 p.m. - Depart Jekyll Island
