T&L 2900: ONL: Exploring Implicit Bias and Talking About it Out Loud!

This course will talk about the impact of implicit bias on education, teaching, and general workplace practices while having participants explore their own personal bias. It will outline how to have conversations to impact change and reduce the impact of implicit bias on teaching and work practices.

More Info: Tamara Waters-Wheeler began her scholastic career at the University of Regina where she obtained a B.A. in Psychology in August of 1991. Tamara received her Education Specialist Degree at Minot State University in 2002 and became a full-time school psychologist in 2003. Tamara is heavily involved in the ND Association of School Psychologists, holding the President position, twice, as well as past president, and secretary. She has also served as the President of the ND Council for Exceptional Children and as President of the Bismarck-Mandan Council for Exceptional Children.
