Trauma-Informed Care provides an exploration of trauma and its impact on individuals. It provides foundational knowledge and awareness of trauma, principles of trauma-informed approach, and emphasizes factors that promote resilience and well-being. 

Topics include:

  • Trauma-informed principles and practice
  • Understanding the Brain's Response to Trauma
  • Regulation
  • Interventions and Support
The presentation also includes assessments to reinforce learning and ensure understanding of the material covered.

Overall, the aim is to provide a comprehensive understanding of trauma, its effects, and practical strategies for promoting resilience and well-being. Continuing education for health care professionals - Registered Nurses (RN), Social Workers (LSW), Registered Dietitians/Nutritionists (RDN), Dietetic Technicians (NDTR), and Certified Dietary Managers (CDM, CFPP).
