Biography:
Dr. Schlinger graduated from the University of North Dakota with her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Social Work and later earned her Doctor of Education, focusing her dissertation on trauma education in social work curricula. Jennifer is a Clinical Assistant Professor and the Director of Field Education for Department of Social Work at the University of North Dakota. She teaches both undergraduate and graduate students.

Trauma-Informed Care offers an overview of trauma, its effects, and strategies that support resilience and well-being. It covers forms of trauma, core trauma-informed principles, the brain's response to trauma, regulation skills, and effective interventions. The presentation includes assessments to reinforce learning. Designed for continuing education, it equips healthcare professionals - RNs, LSWs, RDNs, NDTRs, and CDM/CFPPs - with essential knowledge and practical approaches for trauma-informed practice.
