Earned Value and Schedule Management

Discover the essential skills and techniques needed to effectively create, manage, and evaluate program schedules for large, complex projects with earned value (EV) requirements. This course provides a deep dive into the principles of scheduling processes, schedule health assessment, risk analysis and integrating subcontractor schedule data, all while ensuring EV compliance.

Aligned with the industry-standard Planning and Scheduling Excellence Guide (PASEG) and generally accepted scheduling principles (GASP), EVSM equips you with the tools and methodologies to develop high-quality schedules that drive project success. By mastering these concepts, you'll enable managers to make data-driven decisions, optimize project performance and enhance overall schedule accuracy and reliability.

What you will cover:

  • Applying schedule management processes and best practices: Implement effective scheduling principles to create and sustain robust project schedules.
  • Developing and maintaining an integrated master schedule (IMS): Gain the expertise to construct and manage a comprehensive IMS that supports project objectives.
  • Understanding the role of an IMS in earned value management: Learn how the IMS integrates with EV requirements to track project performance effectively.
  • Conducting schedule risk assessments (SRAs): Identify and mitigate potential risks to ensure schedule resilience and reliability.
  • Evaluating IMS validity and performance: Master evaluation techniques to ensure schedules are accurate, actionable, and aligned with project goals.
