Systems Engineering Overview

Systems Engineering Overview (SEO) is the introduction course for the detailed series of classes that go into more detail for System Engineering specialties. SEO gives students the foundation, process, concepts, terms, and definitions needed to move forward in academic understanding and practical use of Systems Engineering in their career.

The principles taught in the class are universal but are presented in a predominantly Department of Defense (DoD) context based on the 40+ year defense career of the instructor, and the relevance of DoD work to many in the UAH target audience. Students without a DoD background will have no problem following along and completing all required assignments. Examples and assignments also include non-DoDsystems and playful situations both true and imagined.
