This 3-day course is accredited in Alabama and designed to train participants in adult and child lead toxicology, sources of lead, theory and use of X-ray fluorescence, sampling methods for lead in paint, soil and dust, health and safety concerns for lead hazard inspectors, regulatory developments and HUD's Guidelines for Evaluation and Control of Lead-Based Paint Hazards in Housing.

Pike is the Senior Project Engineer for Highland Technical Services, Inc. in Hoover, Alabama and is Adjunct Faculty at the University of Alabama in Continuing Studies Environmental & IndustrialPrograms. Judith's specialty areas include asbestos, lead based paint and microbial investigations, project management and abatement design, groundwater investigation, hazardous waste management, RCRA investigations, remedial systems design and implementation. She has experience in conducting Phase I, II & III Environmental Site Assessments, Property Condition Assessments, erosion control and above ground/underground storage tank management. Previous employment was with such companies as TUV RheinlandIndustrial Solutions, Inc. - Unified Testing Services, The Environmental League, LLC, W. W. Williams Environmental, Bhate Environmental, Inc. and K. B. Weygand & Associates. Judith received her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Alabama in Birmingham.
