Course Detail: ABDC - Applied Building Design & Construction

This introductory course provides students with a solid foundation in building construction concepts, making it an excellent starting point for those with little to no prior experience in the building construction trades. By the end of the course, students will complete a capstone project that showcases the skills they have developed through the course.

Whie in this course, you will learn:
  • Safety, tools, and basic woodworking
  • Wood projects and joinery
  • Indoor home repair
  • Indoor painting
  • Outdoor painting and weatherproofing
  • Fence repair
  • Fence building 
  • Capstone project (bench, shelf, fence, or repair)
Registration includes access to and use of all necessary tools and equipment for the successful completion of the course.
