Course Detail: NASC - Nails Specialty Summer Camp

Do you want to be a part of a $571.1 Billion dollar industry?  Are you creative, artsy, love beauty and fashion? What is better than expressing that passion and sharing it with other than through your personal technique and skills?  Not to mention you get paid to do it and have fun!!  Do you have goals to be your own boss, have a flexible schedule, build a business of loyal clients, and earn an unlimited amount of money? If you answered yes, then check out the Nail Specialty Program Summer Camp. Students will learn techniques through theory, instructor/student demonstration and demonstrating what they have learned. Discover your skill, grow your passion, and bring it to life.  The Clinic floor is open daily for students to perfect their techniques, learn from one another and gain confidence. 
  • Learn about the Nail Specialist's "Scope of Practice" set by the State of Florida
  • Students will learn and demonstrate the basics of natural nail care that includes Manicuring and Pedicuring
  • Learn and demonstrate the "perfect polishing" technique along with some simple nail art techniques
  • Be introduced to "Spa" nail services
  • Students will be introduced and learn the importance of how to communicate effective and demonstrate a professional attitude
  • Students will learn about Safety and Sanitation in the workplace and how to clean and disinfect implements used for services

At the conclusion of the Summer Camp the students will demonstrate their skills in a small class challenge and receive a "Certificate of Completion". 

Students attending the Summer Camp will be required to always adhere to the Pinellas County School dress code and other classroom expectations.

Who's Eligible: High School Students in Grade 9-12
Proof of Insurance is required for all participants
