Course Detail: CCSC - Crazy Hot Culinary Summer Camp

The "Crazy Hot" Summer Camp is a three-day, hands-on summer camp designed to introduce students to professional kitchen skills, safety, and culinary creativity. Over three mornings, students will transition from basic safety to preparing complete, restaurant-style dishes. This program offers ahigh-interest, career-exploration experience in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Master essential knife skills, proper sanitation, and safe stovetop/oven operation.

Learn the art of mise en place (preparation) and recipe reading. Apply techniques in a real commercial kitchen atmosphere. Foster communication skills through collaborative cooking.

Pinellas County Schools Dress Code is enforced during summer camp. Closed toe shoes are required.

Lunch is provided. Due to the large number of participants, we are unfortunately unable to accommodate individual food allergy or dietary requests. Participants with specific dietary needs may wish to bring their own food to ensure their requirements are met.

Students in grades 8 - 12 are eligible to join this camp.

Please note, cancellations must be made within 5 business days from the day an order is placed to qualify for a refund. All refunds will be issued less a service fee (fee varies by course but ranges from $6.75 - $56.75). All refunds will be issued in the form of a check and not electronically returned to any credit/debit/gift card. No refunds are issued after the first day (or night) of class. Please allow 45 days for refund requests to be processed.

Insurance: Proof of insurance is required for all participants and must be emailed to robinsonky@pcsb.org prior to the start of camp.

Permission Form: Please print the attached Permission Form and bring the original document with you on the first day of camp.
