Fundamentals of Project Management Proceed to Purchase

Overview
Successful organizations and professionals from every field have discovered the power of project management. In this intensive fundamentals course, you will gain the concepts, tools, and techniques to manage a project and a project team. You'll be learning in a team-based environment and practicing valuable project management techniques. You'll walk away from our course with practical tools and skills that can be applied immediately in the workplace.

This course is a pre-requisite for the Project Management: Practical Application course and is recommended prior to the PMP Exam Facilitated Study course. However, if you have formal project management training or education (e.g. college-level project management training or a PMP® certification) the Fundamentals course may be waived, which would allow you to enroll directly in the Practical Application course. Please contact us for additional pre-requisite information.

Program outline
The course includes an introduction to the knowledge areas and processes outlined in the PMBOK® (The Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge). The knowledge areas include Project Integration, Scope Management, Schedule Management, Cost Management, Quality Management, Resource Management, Communications Management, Risk Management, Procurement Management, and Stakeholder Management.

Course Schedule
Fall and Spring sessions meet Thursdays, 6-9 p.m. for four weeks. These sessions are in-person.
