Course Detail: KCCM - Kansas City/County Management Conference
2026 KCCM Conference!
At the KU Public Management Center, we're proud to host the Kansas City/County Manager (KCCM) Conference. This premier spring gathering brings together local government professionals from across Kansas and the Kansas City metro to connect, reflect, and recharge.
Public service can be demanding-and often draining. Guided by this year's theme, "Running on Empty? Recharge at KCCM," we invite leaders to pause, refocus, and reenergize their passion for serving communities. Through thought-provoking speakers, practical sessions, and collaborative discussions, attendees will explore ways to restore energy, reignite motivation, and strengthen resilience-both personally and organizationally.
Beyond professional development, KCCM provides invaluable opportunities to reconnect with colleagues and expand your network through events such as the KACM Membership Meeting and Lunch, the KACM Foundation Fundraiser, the Kansas Women Leading Government (WLG) Networking Lunch, and the Welcome Mixer the night before the conference.
Join us April 30 and May 1 at The Oread Hotel in Lawrence for two days designed to refuel your leadership and recharge your commitment to public service.
