Learn film editing basics and how to use Hollywood-style special effects techniques such as Star Wars animated lasers, Harry Potter spell-like effects, and more. Combine engineering and alternative energy! Build a waterwheel, windmill, Ferris wheel, and solar cars from LEGOŽ kits and operate them using alternative energy sources. Work in teams to experiment with solar panels, wind, and water and discover how we can harness their energy! Use the concepts you've learned to design and create a test car to compete against your classmates on the last day. Early registration deadline - August 11.

This camp combines the LEGOŽ building system's versatility and the Mindstorms EV3 to bring you an exciting week of robotic fun! Working each day in small teams, you'll construct fascinating LEGOŽ models, experiment with programs, and compete in robotic challenges. Robot building, block programming, and teamwork will be part of each day's activities. The final challenges will be centered around hitting targets and a sumo battle. Explore the world of robotics using LEGOŽ Systems to build extraordinary cars and dragsters with motors and sensors. Work in teams to learn about the programming process. We'll examine a different car model each day, then take what we've learned to create our own cars and compete in a thrilling racing tournament on the final day. Create your own stop-motion animation using characters from the Harry Potter and Fantastical Beasts series. Build and design magical-themed scenes and props, then handle all the technical details of filming scenes including stop-motion, digital editing, special effects, and scene transitions.
