Biography:

Dr. Prakash Bhoi is serving as an Associate Professor (Tenured) in Mechanical Engineering Department at Georgia Southern University, Statesboro, GA, USA. Dr. Bhoi received his PhD degree in Biosystems Engineering from Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, OK, USA. He has more than 25 years of experience in teaching, research and industry. His specific areas of research are focused on carbon-neutral or carbon-negative hydrogen production, decarbonized energy technologies, zero-carbon alternative fuels such as sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), methanol, syngas and bio-oil, biomass gasification, catalytic fast pyrolysis of biomass, CO2 utilization for fuels production, and techno-economic analysis (TEA) and lifecycle analysis (LCA) of clean energy technologies and modeling of thermochemical conversion technologies. He has published more than 30 peer-reviewed journal papers and presented over 50 oral/poster presentations at international conferences. Dr. Bhoi is an ANL Certified GREET Model trainer.
