In contemporary athletics programs (junior high, high school, collegiate) the issues of funding budgets and fundraising are becoming much more acute as traditional sources of funding are becoming more difficult to procure. Successful athletics programs are becoming increasingly tied to the coach and/or athletics director's ability to generate funds from external sources.
