Explore Air Traffic Control (ATC) through this hands-on program, which covers key systems, procedures, and technologies in air traffic management, offering students practical insight into a crucial aviation profession.
Participants will learn FAA phraseology, separation standards, and procedural control, and apply these skills in realistic airspace simulations. Using FAA radar software, students will manage TRACON scenarios involving departures, sequencing, and final approaches.
In a simulation lab, participants use airspace classification, navigation, and aircraft performance skills for real-time decisions. The program focuses on situational awareness, traffic management, and conflict resolution, reflecting professional ATC training standards.
Embry-Riddle faculty and students provide direct mentorship, one-on-one coaching, and feedback sessions to improve communication, accuracy and teamwork under pressure.
