This program combines artificial intelligence with coding to create an unforgettable learning adventure. Start with a concept, design the characters, and choose not just one ending, but many! With the world's increased reliance on digital data, cyber security is more important than ever! In this class, you are all that stands between a group of international hackers launching cyber attacks and world peace. Through a series of challenges, students will learn to apply tools used by professional digital forensics teams to crack codes and use encryption. Working in teams you will collect clues, recover lost data, and explore the tools of the trade to become the next great cyber spy! Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the program. Ages 10-15.

Whether you want to be the next pro gamer, streamer, or gamecaster, this course will teach you the basics to get started! Over 400 million people watched YouTube videos and Twitch streams of video game competitions this year alone! In this course, students develop game-play skills, compete in tournaments, learn how to produce commentary, and use professional streaming software. Throughout the class, lessons will emphasize the importance of practicing online safety. Student recordings will not be broadcast publicly and are only available on a password-protected website to share with friends, family, and fellow students. Ages 10-15.

Chef Dom spent half his adult life living in SE Asia and fell in love with its rich food culture. Students are invited to come and learn the vibrant flavors from Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Taiwan! From BBQ pork, to steamed buns, to beef lok lakm, and beyond, students will learn how to prepare a breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert in this camp. Taught in a fun and welcoming environment by Cascade Culinary Institute Adjunct Instructor, Chef Dom Shorthouse, and Chef Instructor, Anthony Parker. Recipe book to take home included. With their cultural diversity and flair for flavor, these two Southern Hemisphere countries have scrumptious food offerings. From ricotta pancakes, to sausage rolls and lamingtons, to hamburgers and buns from scratch, to sticky date pudding and anzac cookies, and beyond, students will learn how to prepare a breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert in this camp. Our classic game design camp reimagined to include even more of what you love! Make your first video game in this one-of-a-kind class that gives you the keys to designing your first 2D platformer game. Conceptualization, level design, graphics, sounds, and simple coding are just some of the concepts that we'll explore. No prior experience is necessary, just a desire to have fun! Step into the exciting world of metal fabrication! This hands-on camp is perfect for students with no prior experience in metalwork. Throughout the week, students will learn to safely operate welding equipment, prepare and join metal using GMAW welding, and cut metal using a CNC Plasma machine. Students will combine these skills to design and create their own unique metal sculpture. Taught by expert faculty from the COCC Manufacturing and Applied Technology Center (MATC), this engaging and interactive camp is open to students ages 12-15 who can follow safety protocols and ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all. Safety gear including welding gloves, welding hoods, and all necessary PPE will be provided for use during the camp. Ages 12-15.

Discover how to code with Python using accessible web-based platforms that guide students through a series of daily lessons. Build fundamental tech literacy while creatively solving software engineering challenges! This Safe Sitter® program prepares students to be safe when they are home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. Students will learn first aid, choking infant/child rescue, and infant/child CPR, in addition to how to deal with other potential dangers. The course teaches CPR but does not certify students in CPR. For 6th - 9th grade students.

In this youth camp, students will experience four different visual arts media: watercolor painting, soft pastels, drawing, and crafting with lifelong art educator, Bill Lewis. Students will increase their confidence with these visual media by participating in hands-on projects every day. Experience the magic of fun and easy watercolor techniques and create a finished watercolor painting with ink accents. Use soft pastels to create an oriental wall hanging, and learn how to draw using geometric shapes to create realistic drawings of things in the world. Students will also make their own sketch book with a unique cover that they will use throughout the camp and take home with them after camp. Join us for this fun-filled and interactive camp! Ages 10-15.

In this course, you will learn the basics of investing in the stock market, the difference between assets and liabilities, the importance of diversification, and how to evaluate companies. You will also develop your own business plan and present your ideas to your peers to compete for their investments in a mock Shark Tank-style activity.
