Course Description: Around the World in 5 Plates: *International Culinary Series

Pack your taste buds and join us on a flavorful journey across the globe, no passport required! Join Chef Candy Argondizza for this hands-on culinary series. Each class highlights a signature dish from a different country, offering a delicious introduction to its unique flavors, ingredients, and traditions. From the bold spices of Moroccan tagine, to the delicate layers of a classic French trout grenobloise, the hearty comfort of German schnitzel, the vibrant heat of Korean bulgogi beef, and perfection of Chinese vegetable bao buns, you'll explore techniques and tastes that bring each culture to life. By the end of the series, you'll have created, and savored, five dishes that showcase the rich diversity of global cuisine. Students can register for the full series, or any of the five individual classes.

Schedule: Classes are Saturdays,1/10, 1/24, 2/7, 2/21, and 3/7, at COCC's Cascade Culinary Institute, Jungers Culinary Center, room 117, from 10 am-1 pm.

Additional Course Information

Bring an apron, a sharp knife, and take-home containers. Please Note: We recognize that many individuals have specific dietary restrictions, aversions and/or requests. Due to the nature of our culinary classes, the menu is set and we are limited in our ability to make adjustments, and outside food cannot be brought in to meet special requirements. The kitchen is not gluten or peanut-free.

Cancellation Policy

Students must cancel by contacting our office via phone: (541) 383-7270 or email: ceinfo@cocc.edu. Cancellations received 5 days prior to the start of the class will receive a full refund. Full refunds are also issued for classes cancelled by COCC. Refunds will be issued back to your card or in the form of a check and mailed within two weeks of the cancellation date if paid by check or cash. Failure to participate in a course or program does not result in a refund. Exceptions to the general refund policy are noted in the course descriptions on our website and in the printed schedule.
