Course Description: Leading Across the Generations
For the first time in history, five generations are present in the workplace, Traditionalists, Baby Boomers, Generation Xers, Millennials and Generation Z. In a few short years Generation Alpha will also be entering the workforce. This means that, in general, there are at least five different cultures mixing and interacting in any one organization, office, meeting, etc. What does this mean for leaders and supervisors? With so many different generations interacting, conflict and communication challenges are likely. This seminar will provide an overview of the different generations currently in the workplace, layout strategies for successful leadership and team facilitation, and break down stereotypes that can inhibit successful communication.
