Course Detail: W-IND-HAZ24 - OSHA HAZWOPER Training 24 Hour
24 hour HAZWOPER initial training for OSHA General Industry (29 CFR 1910) and Construction (29 CFR 1926)
HAZWOPER (Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response) is a set of OSHA standards (29 CFR 1910.120 and 29 CFR 1926.65) designed to protect workers who handle hazardous substances, clean up waste sites, or respond to chemical emergencies.
Duration: 24-Hour
Target Audience: For workers who work occasionally on hazardous waste sites and are unlikely to face serious exposure risks.
Tuition: $600
This training class meets the minimum of 24 hours of instruction off site for workers that are on a jobsite only occasionally for a specific limited task (such as, but not limited to, ground water monitoring, land surveying, or geo-physical surveying) and who are unlikely to be exposed over permissible exposure limits and published exposure limits. See 29 CFR 1910.120(e)(3)(ii) and 1926.65(e)(3)(ii)
AND
This training class meets the minimum of 24 hours of instruction off site for workers regularly on a jobsite who work in areas which have been monitored and fully characterized indicating that exposures are under permissible exposure limits and published exposure limits where respirators are not necessary, and the characterization indicates that there are no health hazards or the possibility of an emergency developing. See 29 CFR 1910.120(e)(3)(iii) and 1926.65(e)(3)(iii)
The minimum of one day actual field experience under the direct supervision of a trained, experienced supervisor is NOT provided by this class.
