Course Detail: W-AP-EPA - EPA 608 Certification Class

Students will test at the end of this course. If a student does not pass their exam, they will be eligible to retake exams at the CEI testing center.
Learning Outcomes -
Upon successful completion of this course, students will understand:
1. Ozone depletion and the role of refrigerants
2. Refrigerant Identification and Handling
3. Safety Procedures while handling refrigerants
4. Equipment Related to basic refrigeration systems
5. The differences in EPA 608 Certification Types
Certification -
Students will leave the course with an 8-hour Certificate of Completion from the College of Eastern Idaho WTCE. Students will test at the end of this course in order to receive an ESCO backed EPA 608 License. If a student does not pass their exam, they will be eligible to retake exams at the CEI testing center.

This course is intended for current HVAC apprentices and journeymen that require an EPA license to handle refrigerants.
This course is intended for employees that work on refrigeration units for agricultural or transportation purposes.
This course is targeted for technicians that work with common heating and cooling systems.
