Course Detail: W-AP-EMC - Electrical Motor Controls

Learning Outcomes -
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Demonstrate proficiency using hand-held multimeter
Recognize common electrical symbols
Identify common electrical control components
Explain operation of basic electrical control components
Demonstrate Hands-On ability to construct basic electrical circuits using the information and diagrams provided
Demonstrate proficiency troubleshooting basic electrical circuits using a hand-held multimeter
Certification -
Students will leave the course with an 8-hour Certificate of Completion from the College of Eastern Idaho WTCE. This Certificate can be utilized as educational hours for industry-related training. This course is for Professional Development and/or Personal Enrichment.
Target Audience -
This course is intended for current electrical journeymen that require/want CEU style training.
This course is intended for current Out-of-State electrical journeymen that requires/want CEU style training.
This course is targeted to those who technicians that work with Industrial Electrical Systems.

Requirements -
Students will need to be prepared with the following in order to participate in class.
Multimeters
Screwdrivers, including a very small flathead screwdriver (sometimes called a tweaker).
Pieces of scrap wire, 12 gauge and smaller
Wire nuts would be welcomed.
