Course Detail: ADRW-006 - DRAWING: ESSENTIAL SKILLS ONLINE

Learn the tricks of the trade that can take your drawing to the next level. This course will focus on perspective and form to create more volumetric drawings from observation. This is an excellent course for student building or improving their portfolios. Online with live instruction over zoom.

Supplies required for the course:

Pencils (6B)
Drawing Paper (9 X11" and/or 18 X 24")
Vine and/or compressed Charcoal (soft or extra soft)
100% Cotton Cloth (old hand cloth is fine)
Cont� pencils (Red-Brown, Black)
Pencil Sharpener (hand)
Rubber Eraser (Magic Rub)
Small box of crayons
Small set of soft pastels

Optional Materials:

Kneaded eraser with a Ziploc bag to keep it in
Prismacolor Col-Erase and/or Verithin pencils (Dark Blue, Red, Brown, Black)
Fine Drawing Paper for experienced students, 18 x 24 inches
Chamois Cloth
X-acto knife (#1 knife, #11 blade)
Drafting tape or Artist's tape
Blending stumps
Sketchbook, 8 1/2 X 11" or 11" X14"
Graphite Pencils (2B, 4B, 6B)
Charcoal Pencils (Soft, Extra Soft)
Sandpaper sharpening strip
Newsprint paper (18 X 24")
Portfolio case
Toolkit to house supplies

Joshua Mulligan

Biography: Josh Mulligan has taught animation and drawing workshops at the College for Creative Studies since 2015 and is currently instructing drawing courses within the undergraduate Foundation Department at CCS.Drawing has always been a passion of mine, and having the opportunity to share, explore, and create ideas is always a motivating experience. I primarily focus on creating animations and illustrations both digitally and traditionally. I am a 2014 CCS graduate.
