This course includes instructional content for Building Constructions, Portable Extinguishers, and Fire Behavior. This course will present the candidate with the knowledge, skills, and ability to satisfy the requirements of NFPA 1001: Standard for Firefighter Professional Qualifications (2019 edition). This course should be offered consistent with the most current NC Fire and Rescue Commission guidelines; contact the Office of State Fire Marshal (OSFM) for details.
