This course includes an overview of fire pump theories, water supply sources, hydraulic fundamentals, relay and water shuttle operations, foam systems, and the abilities to satisfy the key requirements of NFPA 1002: Standard for Fire Apparatus Driver/Operator Professional Qualifications (2017 edition). This course should be offered consistent with the most current NC Fire and Rescue Commission guidelines; contact the Office of State Fire Marshal (OSFM) for details.
